Ireland maintained their perfect record in the ICC World Cricket League with a five-wicket victory over Scotland.

The Irish headed into the contest coming off the back of wins in their opening two matches and Scotland never looked like threatening their unbeaten record.

Ireland captain Trent Johnston put his opponents in to bat after winning the toss and the Scots were almost immediately in trouble as Preston Mommsen (four) was run out with the score on five.

From there on, the wickets continued to fall as Scotland struggled to 117 all out, with Neil McCallum's 49 the only real bright spot of the innings.

In reply, Ireland did experience some nervous moments with quick wickets falling at the start of the chase as they slipped to 65 for five.

But Kevin O'Brien closed out the victory, making an unbeaten and steady 41after Paul Stirling's 37 had laid solid foundations at the top of the order.
