Ireland clinched a two-nil series victory with a convincing nine-wicket win over Holland in their second and final ODI in Dublin on Wednesday.

The Netherlands' choice to bat first backfired as they slumped to 125 all out in 47.2 overs, with Trent Johnston, Nigel Jones and John Mooney sharing six wickets.

The tourists' dismal tally could have been considerably worse were it not for Pieter Selaar's lower-order vigil of 34.

The Irish were never troubled in their reply as Paul Stirling spanked five sixes and six fours across his whirlwind knock of 62.

Gary Wilson weighed in with 48 not out, while Alex Cusack's unbeaten 15 wrapped up the win inside 21 overs.
